By confirming a reservation with Galápagos Ocean Expeditions, the passenger acknowledges and accepts the following terms and conditions.

Itinerary Changes

All itineraries, activities, visitor sites, transportation schedules, and program descriptions are subject to change without prior notice due to operational requirements, weather conditions, sea conditions, force majeure events, safety considerations, or regulations and directives issued by the Galápagos National Park Directorate and other relevant authorities. The safety of our guests, crew members, guides, and local communities will always take priority. Any modifications will be made with the objective of providing the best possible experience under the prevailing circumstances.

Decisions of Local Guides and Captains

Passengers acknowledge that certified Galápagos Naturalist Guides, expedition leaders, captains, and local operators have the authority to modify schedules, routes, landing sites, activities, and operational logistics whenever necessary to ensure passenger safety, wildlife protection, environmental conservation, or compliance with local regulations. Such decisions are final and must be respected by all participants.

Galápagos National Park Regulations

All activities are conducted in accordance with the regulations of the Galápagos National Park and Marine Reserve. Visitors must follow all instructions provided by authorized guides and comply with conservation rules designed to protect the unique ecosystems of the Galápagos Islands. Failure to comply may result in restrictions on participation in activities without entitlement to compensation or refund.

Wildlife Sightings

Galápagos Ocean Expeditions cannot guarantee the observation of specific wildlife species, behaviors, breeding events, or natural phenomena. Wildlife encounters depend on seasonal patterns, environmental conditions, and factors beyond our control.

Travel Insurance

We strongly recommend that all travelers purchase comprehensive travel insurance covering, at a minimum:

• Trip cancellation and interruption

• Medical expenses

• Emergency medical evacuation

• Personal accident coverage

• Loss or delay of baggage

• Life insurance coverage

Galápagos Ocean Expeditions does not provide travel, medical, evacuation, or life insurance as part of its programs. Passengers are solely responsible for obtaining adequate coverage prior to travel.

Health and Physical Condition

Participants are responsible for ensuring that they are physically fit to participate in the activities included in their itinerary. Certain activities may involve hiking on uneven terrain, snorkeling, swimming, small boat transfers, exposure to sun, wind, altitude, or varying weather conditions.

Limitation of Liability

Galápagos Ocean Expeditions acts as a tour operator and coordinator of services provided directly or indirectly by hotels, vessels, transportation companies, local operators, guides, and other suppliers. We shall not be held liable for delays, cancellations, losses, damages, injuries, accidents, acts of nature, governmental actions, transportation disruptions, weather events, or any circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

Acceptance of Terms

Payment of a deposit, balance, or full reservation amount constitutes acceptance of these Terms and Conditions by all travelers included in the booking.
